Yesterday we got a fun introduction of the new i-Phone app developed by Nike and a group of influencers. The app takes you to all kinds of ‘hidden places’ and makes them visible for you in several European cities, and the user can also add his own hidden places and become a True City infleuncer himself. Ain’t that great!

To give us a ‘live’ demonstration a selected group of journalists and reporters were taken on a TukTuk ride (you know these small Thai means of transportation) through some Amsterdam hotspots.
On each hotspot the influencers, all working in different ‘creative’ areas, told us why this was one of their favorite places in te city. Influential blogger Nalden was at the starting point, het Ketelhuis. It’s a cinema in the cultural area of the Westerpark, where you can see a mix of popular and underground movies. Nalden has his own sneak preview movienight there named: Amongst Friends.
Then it was the turn of Juha, creative entrepreneur, who showed us his hotspot Trouw. A creative underground nightclub/art exposition space, situated in the old Trouw newspaper printing offices.
Harald, designer for Digital creative agency Momkai, took us to a funny little shop on the Prinsengracht where they only sell dolls from all sorts of cartoons, and animated movies from all over the world, named Space Oddity. It showed that men always stay little boys inside ;-) But we discovered something we liked there too: Totoro. An adorable and ‘huggable’ doll from a Japanese animation. We’re still thinking about purchasing one for our ‘soon to be’ Digitalistas headquarters. It’s very digitalistic.
To finish, music-duo la Melodia took us to their favorite sushi spot: Tokyo cafe. It’s an ”all you can eat” sushi-concept, where you pay for the sushi you couldn’t eat, so there’s no waste. They like to hang out there when they have someting to celebrate, or… just when they feel like eating sushi.
