Tavi, Oprah and Australia

Just a little thought…

The world is going mad.Or let’s say: Tavi and Oprah are going mad. Tavi said NO to Oprah. She is crazy. But on the other hand: I’m getting a litte tired of all the Tavi-mania (hello, I  already wrote about her 2 years ago! Give me some new kid to play with!). So I think Oprah is a little mad to ask Tavi for her show as well. Ow, and Oprah is a litte crazy because she invited her audience on a little trip to…Australia! All those 300 women went crazy of course!  Maybe she can also invite us? I mean….if you spend that much money, you can buy 3 extra tickets easily. Especially when the Australian government pays all the costs. What a amazing marketing-gig is that, huh?

End of my thought.

Emilie Simon: the French Kate Bush

A few years ago I bought a CD (yes, I still buy CD’s from time to time) from Emilie Simon. Her first album. The one where she has ladybugs all over her. It was after I heard a great remix of one of her songs, Desert. Unfortunately the remix was not on the CD, but her fragile voice captured me. I thought by myself: “we’re not done hearing from this girl”.

We love nature…

And we might just try an ‘Eau de Carottes‘ because the packaging looks so nice. Or don’t you think carots could smell good? Otherwise there is ‘Eau de Coco’. Wearing this scent might make you think we just came rolling of a tropical island (or drank too much pina coladas the night before).

Free stylingadvise from Bryan Boy in the showroom of H&M

H&M is supporting bloggers! Especially personal style bloggers are important for them. Why? Because all the million readers can afford the H&M collection and can order it online or buy it in one of the many shops across the world. Efficient, or what?  H&M is inviting bloggers in their showroom all the time, but this time they tried something new. The one and only Bryan Boy is giving his style advise to men and women in the Showroom of the retailer. With of course, only clothes of H&M. If that isn’t a good way to promote you new collection….Watch the movie below.

ACNE’S TRANSVESTITE, TRANSGENDER AND CROSS-DRESSING COLLECTION

Together with Acne Studios, Luis Venegas Editor in Chief of Candy Magazine has created a collection of three shirts. Working on the idea of a classic western shirt, but playing with detail and proportion, the end result is a fun take on masculine versus feminine. All styles are all offered in silk crepe and Italian denim; the later in two washes, stonewashed and bleached. The shirts are named after one of Luis favourite TV series, Dynasty. The shirt with a dramatic bow at the neck is called “Alexis” as a tribute to Joan Collin’s role. The one with big sleeves reminded Luis of the role Linda Evans played so it’s called “Krystle” and the shirt with ruffles at neck and wrists has the playful personality of Heather’s Locklear role and is called “Sammy Jo.”

Social Media goes vintage

Can you imagine people using Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or Skype fifty years ago? Well, this is what it would have looked like! These vintage ads were made especially for the International Communications and Marketing Forum in Brazil, which will be held coming October. The theme of the event is ‘everything ages fast’ and they are quite accurate with that statement.
