Lost: Summer. Recognizable: sunshine, happy thoughts, skirts, cocktails, pretty boys, pretty girls, party’s at the beach, ice-cream, blond hair, sunburned skin, bikini’s, sandals, picnic in the parc….

Usually we’re not so much into posting pictures of ourselves, unless there’s a good reason for it. For the AIFW opening night Digitalista K. borrowed a dress, because she couldn’t think of anything she could wear. (And it’s all because of the awfull weather!!) We love fashion for good causes! Like Evian. The mineral water brand (after champagne fashion drink number one) collaborated with eleven photographers to raise money for Orange Babies, a foundation supporting baby’s and women with HIV.

We believe that style has nothing to do with brands. And Zeeman thinks the same. Holland’s most cheapest store ever stunted during the Dutch Fashion Week by making people believe that some designer called ‘Frank’ debuted his ‘amazing collection for women’. The Dutch fashion in crowd was curious: who is that guy?!? And does he really make gorgeous clothes.
During the Dutch Fashion Week Alexia van Engelen – from eco fabulous designer brand Sage and Ivy – showed her collection Hemisphere. For Summer 2012 she’s inspired by two amazing goddesses: the Greek Aphrodite and Bianca Jagger. Draped dresses versus seventies looks all presented on water. Literally!
Dutch designer Pauline van Dongen debuted at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) with her amazing collection Kinetic Landscapes. A collection that’s all about the effect of wind and water to nature. The Digitalistas spoke to her backstage after the show at the Westergas area in Amsterdam.
Blogger Commedesleroi (in the middle) couldn’t stop photographing a few ‘peanuts’ (Indonesian people) at Amsterdam International Fashion Week, including Digitalista E (at the right).
