Carine Roitfeld’s Irreverent

It’s the first post-Vogue Paris oeuvre she’s releasing. A book -or should we say photo-album- of her 30 years career in pictures. Besides images of her famous shoots, Carine Roitfeld also gives us an inside look in her personal life with snapshots from her family: husband Christian Roitfeld, daughter Julia and son Vladimir.

Digitalicious: Color themed food -many shades of white

A little while ago Dutch designer Ilja Visser showed us her new collections during an intimate lunch. An interesting part of the lunch was the color-theme: many shades of white. Gazpacho soup, cold rice salad with vegetables and a panacotta dessert, white was the main color. Blending perfectly with the decoration on the table.

Having a color theme is a good idea when you’re hosting a dinner. It gives you the possibility to be creative in many ways. Think of how challenging it would be if you don’t use any artificial food colouring. Just get that mind of yours working. For now here’s some inspiration>>>

Did you actually know that shooting hoops is the second most popular sport in China? We didn’t. And it inspired the designers from Nike to re-invent the Hyperfuse basketball sneaker. It is now a seamless state of the art shoe, not only to play ball, but also to show off your early adoptive sporty side. Watch Shane Kohatsu -innovation lead for Nike Basketball- explain the new design:

Take a peak: Nike Hyperfuse

Some other things we learned at the presentation:
1. If singer/songwriter Alain Clark had not taken the musical path, he would have dreamt of becoming an NBA basketballer.
2. Magic always happens in the KITCHEN. Ha! Told you so! ;-)

Lowlands 2011: Converse, camping & friends

Time flies when you’re having fun. Last weekend it was Lowlands-time again. But slightly different than the past years for Digi K. This time she really went camping… There has to be a first time for everything, right? For 2,5 days she wandered around the Lowlands-premises on her All Stars Converse. Having fun with her friends, watching bands and artists perform like The Roots, Lykke Li and Jamie Woon, and chilling at the Converse Compound.

A photo-diary after the jump….

Can you handle a little ‘Loverdose’?

It’s a mysterious, purple, heart-shaped multi-faceted jewel, and it will make every man fall on his knees for you. You know you want it…this deliciously, bewitching juice of love. The name? Loverdose. If fatal attraction would be a perfume, this would be the closest thing to it.
