Nothing to do this weekend? Visit annual nighttime festival Nuit Blanche which is all about art and culture!
Amsterdam from a different point of view: that’s what Nuit Blanche is all about. Explore the city at night where you can enjoy several artistic experiments and unusual combination of 100 artists at 19 different locations: from the Red Light district to the East of Amsterdam with its raw identity. Its concept comes from Paris which became very popular in the rest of the world. It’s fun to see that artists get the opportunity to use our city as a test lab for their creative thoughts.
Find from 7pm till 7am many obscure and beautiful projects at unexpected places. Try to do the whole tour (=12 hours!) where you can encourage some Mexican wrestlers in the Lucha Libre Show (!!), dance between interactive art installations or have several dinners at artists’ village Krux where chefs experiment with food design. Try the floating Sea Palace restaurant to enjoy a delicious Chinese dinner or end your tour (at sunset!) with a breakfast at Loods 6. Fun to do, but only for die hards. Make sure you drink lots of coffee before you start your tour.
