Ever walk into a bakery and feel like you’re melting from the delicious sugary sweet scents of a cake rising in the oven? Canadian Heather Reier had the ingenious idea combine the ingredients of baking with cosmetics; as a result, she founded Cake Beauty about five years ago.

The concept combines baking with a high-quality line of 90-95 per cent natural cosmetics. Mixing concoctions like vanilla, creamy chocolate, brown sugar, cinnamon and baked lemon, Reier created an entire range of goods for skin, face and body – right in her kitchen!

Today, Cake features a slew of products, from body butters and shower gels, lip treatments, dry shampoos, hand creams and foot lotions. The Desert Island Smoothing Brown Sugar Body Scrub is seriously to die for!

One of my favourite products is the Milk Made Nourishing Body Butter, a whipped cream that seriously moisturizes my skin. With ingredients like coconut oil, mango butter, macadamia nut oil and whole milk, it smells amazing; I sometimes have to remind myself that it’s not for consumption!
