Dior’s spring 2014 collection, titled Trianon, is all about ultra-feminine pastel hues, inspired by a unique mix of pop culture and the 17th century majesty of Versailles – specifically Petit Trianon, the private quarters of Marie Antoinette.
From porcelain pinks to fresh blues, juicy coral and rich poppy, the collection boasts an array of must-have hues for spring.
To start, the Pore Minimizer is sure to be a hero product that delivers a perfect matte coverage for your skin. Working to reduce the appearance of pores, the cream can be applied like a primer (before foundation) and gives skin an even tone all over, making you ready for a photo close up. It also works around the clock to heal problem zones.
For eyes, my top pick is the 5 Coleurs Trianon Edition in Pastel Fontanges – a five-colour eyeshadow mix in luscious shades of pastel purple, blue, grey and buttery yellow.
Before applying eye colour, the Backstage Eye Primer is a new featherweight formula that prepares your eyelids for colour – say goodbye to creasing! The primer blends smoothly with skin, covering it with the technologically advanced formula that leaves skin in the perfect state for makeup application. Even by days’ end, your eyeshadow will be even and just as intense as when it was first applied in the morning.
I also can’t wait for springtime weather to arrive, so I can start wearing the Rouge Dior lip colour in Courtisane – a vibrant pink with major wow factor. If gloss is more your style, Dior Addict will be available in four limited-edition colours: light beige (Mousseline), soft pink (Minauderie), peachy-pink (Petillante) and hot magenta pink (Exquise).
Dior Spring 2014 will be available from January 22 at Dior retailers across Holland. An exclusive pre-launch will take place at Douglas stores on January 15.
