“Ballroom Backpackers” – outdoor glitter and glamour’ as described in the leaflet by Ratna Ho stirs up a high level of intrigue, especially when you refer to past collections.
The looks presented this season did not capture the desire to see 3 Dimensional shapes paired with glitz. Neon flashes of colour and embroidery outlined against black tiered skirts, sculpted to the shape of the body were adapted for both day time attire and eveningwear.
The collection expressed femininity and a sense of playful humour true to Ratna Ho’s ethos, however it lacked the innovation to create authentic and eclectic design.
