This week I was in Italy on a presstrip for Villa Massa -there will be an extended report about that soon- and while we were there we’ve visited the lovely coastal village of Positano. Now I here you thinking ‘how is that related to fashion?’, but we’ve noticed quite some shoe craftsmen there, mostly producing leather sandals.
Shoe-lover that I am, I was lured in a small shop named ‘La Bottegucia‘, where you can have your own custom made leather sandals within 5 minutes!
There is a vast choice in soles, uppers and straps, and different types of sandals; from gladiator to wedge. I took my pick from the stock on offer, as I was looking for a pair of white strapped wedges for summer.
They instantly felt so comfy when I put them on, that I could not leave Positano without them. Hence that they cost a mere €70, which in my opinion is a bargain for handmade leather shoes.
Now I can’t wait for Summer to arrive and wear my beauties with ‘Italian allure’. An easy breezy white dress, my vintage sunnies from Paris, a clutch from American Vintage and a hint of Carthusia’s Corallium fragrance (bought in Capri) will take me back to Positano in an instant.
