As promised today we can share the full short movie to accompany the CHANEL Métiers d’art collection shown in Salzburg on December 1st.
The image of the amazing backdrop of the Austrian mountains posted by Caroline de Maigret on Instagram made us want to see what Karl had in store for this pre-Fall ’15 collection, based on the craftmanship of CHANEL artisans.
But first, Lagerfeld’s contemporary view on the emperors from the old days; Kaiserin Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi) and her spouse Franz Joseph 1, embodied by Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams, and captured in the short film: ‘Reincarnation‘.
Dirndls, lederhosen, the Sound of Music, embroideries, military details and many referrals to the Tyrolean Alps. Ingredients of a history meets present collection at Schloss Leopoldskron.
Wether it’s the sight of Pharrell and Cara waltzing or the cute Hudson Kroenig walking the down the catwalk in his mini-size lederhosen, ‘Sissi’ and ‘CC’ can be proud.
