Grown Alchemist

photo 3Every once in a while I stumble upon a beauty brand I haven’t heard of and I get really excited – which is exactly what happened to me last week when I read about Grown Alchemist. Based between London, Paris and Australia, the company makes organic, botanical formulas for skin, body and hair, all without chemicals and preservatives.

Grown Alchemist products are designed to help skin produce more collagen; as we age our body produces less of it, which leads to wrinkles, lack of firmness and thinning of skin. The special active ingredients in Grown Alchemist formulas work to regenerate and replenish collagen, which keeps skin’s elasticity in check while helping us look younger (yippee!).

My new obsession is the Anti-Oxidant + Facial Oil: Borago, Rosehip & Buckthorn Berry, which comes with a dropper which makes for easy application – just a few drops is all you need and skin will feel smooth, soft and majorly hydrated. A yummy combo of rosehip oil, sweet almond oil and cranberry seed oil not only smells incredible, but makes for a potent serum that fights free radicals, is high in vitamins, tones skin and improves elasticity. Don’t let the “oil” deter you – your skin won’t feel slimy, but nourished and revitalized; it can be used twice daily, but I like to think of it as a pre-bed nighttime treat to nourish skin while I sleep.

I’ve also tried the Hydra-Mist + Desert Lime & Amino-Peptide mist, which is perfect for dry winter months. Just spray a few spritzes on your face and let it work its magic: skin will be instantly soothed, hydrated and radiant! Ingredients like hibiscus, pomegranate, bilberry, Echinacea and olive leaf extract combine to protect skin and nourish it with antioxidants. You can also use it as a base below your makeup, which is super convenient for rushed mornings (and helps hydrate your skin all day long).
