Now that we finally have some summery weather, there’s no better time for a bright mani-pedi combo – and Essie’s latest palette does just the trick!
The summer ’15 collection includes six colorful shades that make you want to scream for summer: private weekend, chillato, peach side babe, sunset sneaks, saltwater happy (not pictured), and pret-a-surfer (not pictured). From the city to the beach, these hues are made for a summery goddess and are perfect for warm weather.
I’m wearing “peach side babe,” which is a fresh coral-pink-peach mix that hits the mark in the sun. I started my manicure with Essie’s “all in one” base coat and primer, which helps the polish to stick to my nails. For the color, Essie polishes have the most practical applicator wand which made it easy to apply without smearing all over my skin. After two coats, I finished with the new gel.setter top coat, which gives nails a gel-like wear and shine.
I’ve tried a lot of nail polishes in my day, but I can honestly say Essie has the longest lasting wear without chipping – I easily get an extra three to four days out of an Essie manicure compared to other brands. Of course everyone’s nails absorb the polish different, but for me Essie is an all-time favourite!
