Dior Addict Extreme Launch

Our beauty editor Lydia visited Paris for the Dior Addict Extreme Launch. Think pastel pink, creamy nudes, coral peach and vixen red … it’s all in store with Dior’s new Dior Addict Extreme lipstick collection, which launched last week in Paris.

Clinique Three-Step Skincare Program

We know skincare can be complicated. From moisturizer, cleanser and exfoliator to toner, serums and primer, no wonder it can seem like a daunting task to keep your skin looking great.

Thankfully, Clinique has created a simple, three-step system that debunks the complicated myths of skincare. Just three minutes a day, twice a day, is your easy path to healthy (and happy) skin.

The system is available in different regimens pending your skin type (a quick quiz at Clinique.com can help you determine what type you have). The good news is whether you have oily, dry or combination, there’s a system for you.

The program works synergistically with your skin, helping to enhance a natural glow from within. We’ve tried the package for Combination Dry skin and the difference is noticeable. The Liquid Facial Soap works to cleanse, de-flake and soothe, while a few swipes of the Clarifying Lotion will remove any excess dirt. Finally (can you believe it’s this easy?) the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion will maximize and lock-in moisture to stop dry skin from feeling tight.

To be launched: Dior Backstage

Are you a beauty addict? And you’re more than interested in having a sneek peak backstage at a big beauty brand? Next week a new beauty site will be launching – and it promises to be huge.

Dior is currently putting the finishing touches on its new site: www.dior-backstage-makeup.com. The domain will offer behind-the-scenes looks into what really happens backstage at fashion shows. The site will be totally devoted to makeup and promises to reveal Dior secrets, plus the latest fashion and makeup trends from the runway. Professional artists will provide tips, and explanatory videos will help you get the look at home.

Check the video teaser to get a taste of what’s about to come:

We look forward to playing copy-cat with Dior makeup looks. Stay tuned for February 16, when the site will go live!

Origins Zero Oil

A few weeks ago, we announced the great news that Origins is now available in the Netherlands, exclusively at Douglas!

We’ve been shopping to pick up beauty treats from the line, which was an easy task considering everything from Origins quenches your skin’s needs. Our pick is its Zero Oil collection, which is specially-formulated for oily or acne-prone skin.

Zero Oil Deep pore cleanser with Saw Palmetto & Mint won’t dry out your face – it will gently work to eliminate excess oil and leave you feeling fresh. Follow up with the Zero Oil Pore purifying toner, which will work to remove any bits of dirt still clinging to your skin while reducing shine.  Added mint will leave your face tingling.

If your skin is still feeling oily, try the Zero Oil Instant matte finish for shiny places. Apply to matte-ify your face as heat, humidity and stress can cause excess oil to surface. Ingredients like Winterbloom and Chinese Camphor work as astringents to soak up greasy shine. The collection also includes a Zero Oil moisturizer, which is lightweight and oil-free.

Gets yours online and in Douglas stores!

Rich, creamy and packed full of nutrients, this is one night cream that is sure to save your face, plump your cells and revolutionize your skincare regime.

Dubbed a ‘miracle cream,’ Dr Sebagh’s Supreme Night Secret works through the night while skin regenerates. The formula has been created to fight signs of aging in all skin types, while smoothing, hydrating and protecting skin from environmental factors.

Origins Now Available in NL!

Great news from one of our favourite cosmetic and skincare lines, Origins. The brand is now available in Holland at select Douglas stores (Groningen, Maastricht, Den Haag and Rotterdam Lijnbaan). If you’re not in one of these cities, you can also order goodies online!

Not sure where to start? Our favourite products include the Checks and Balances Face Wash, which leaves skin feeling squeaky clean while simultaneously reducing oil and moisturizing dry patches. Alternatively, try anything from the A Perfect World collection. The anti-ageing products are infused with Silver Tip White Tea and promise to reduce lines, wrinkles and dark spots while increasing firmness.

What we love about Origins is the company’s philosophy: it creates products that are powered by natural ingredients that are proven by science to deliver results.
