Digitalicious: Color themed food -many shades of white

A little while ago Dutch designer Ilja Visser showed us her new collections during an intimate lunch. An interesting part of the lunch was the color-theme: many shades of white. Gazpacho soup, cold rice salad with vegetables and a panacotta dessert, white was the main color. Blending perfectly with the decoration on the table.

Having a color theme is a good idea when you’re hosting a dinner. It gives you the possibility to be creative in many ways. Think of how challenging it would be if you don’t use any artificial food colouring. Just get that mind of yours working. For now here’s some inspiration>>>

Ilja Couture - PLUCHE

Ilja Visser presented her latest collections of Ilja Couture and Ready to Fish_ during an intimate lunch at her showroom in Amsterdam. Amsterdam Fashion Week so far: Ilja Visser and Boutyq

Ilja Visser SS 2011

We are soooo sorry! We had to do some ‘work in progress’- things on the backside of our blog (still working of the look of the site!) and it took much longer than expected, so we couldn’t post anything the last couple of days. Call it faith, but it happened just when the Amsterdam International Fashion Week started.  So now we feel  al little bit like we have to sell you guys old news….

Ilja Visser Ready to Fish: Ms Forrester

Ilja Visser is also a well established Dutch designer. Last season she presented a SMART for which she designed the in- and exterior, and tonight (right this minute) we’re at her latest show from the Ready to Fish collection.

The theme is Mrs Forrester, based on a mysterious woman who is close to nature, looking for a sprinkle of magic. Might she be a witch? That explains the high hats!
