Is fashion photography turning into soft porn?
Sometimes you wonder what’s left of fashion in fashion photography. Where nudity and sexuality was often presented in an artful way, nowadays it tends to tickle the boundaries of soft porn.

Lara Stone replaces good old Madge as the face of the Louis Vuitton campaign S/S 2010. The Dutch model is hotter than hot at the moment. Featuring on countless covers and in editorials and campaigns, her beauty is frequently compared to the sensual Brigitte Bardot.

It’s quite a contrast, in the 80′s big brows were the standard, but in this millenium it seems to go in the direction of…no brow. Or the bleached brow, if you don’t want to pluck them.
We love the covershoot of Lara Stone for the latest issue of the British Vogue. Nice piece of work.
“I am a complete alcoholic. It used to be so easy to say to someone, ‘Get me a bottle of vodka,’ and they’d run and get it. Going to rehab was the best decision I ever made. The last six months have been the best of my life.” —Lara Stone in Vogue UK
Wow, Lara! Good job girl…Cheers!

Ever wondered why the split between the teeth of Lara Stone suddenly became a charming beauty-flaw? She wasn’t the first designer-muse with that special mark. A long time ago some girl just popped out of nothing singing a song called ‘Joe le Taxi’. Her name was Vanessa Paradis. Not a striking beauty, but a particular little bird with a good bonestructure and a split between her teeth. Then the bird got caged by Jean Paul Goude to promote the Coco Chanel fragrance. In 2003 she promoted the collection of Chanel Cambon bags, and now this succesful singer, mother, actress and wife of Johnny Depp will show off her typical smile to promote ‘les rouges’ Chanel: the gorgeous red lipsticks of the brand.
Hatsjooooehhh! No, it’s not a case of hayfever. It’s just Chanel taking us to the farm. The decor of this season’s show was a barn filled with hay bales in which Karl’s new male muse, Baptiste Giabiconi, fooled around with models like Lara Stone and Freja Beja Erichsen… Even some celebrities made their appareance à la ferme Chanel: Rihanna, Prince and Claudia Schiffer.
“When I think about my job now, it’s so easy. Because you get so much free time, you get to travel everywhere. The people are nice and fun and easy and relaxed. You get to smoke at work. You make lots of money. Where are you ever going to find another job where you don’t have a boss or responsibilities, really, except to get on an airplane and just show up? It’s a bit worrying.” According to Lara in W Magazine.
