Digitalistic covers: Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott for Vogue Paris

They shot one of my favourite editorials with Kate Moss for W, and made numerous other gorgeous photographs for Vogue Paris, Vogue US, Vogue Italia, Dazed & Confused, Pop Magazine, Arena Hommes, Numéro….to name a few top notch fashion magazines they’ve worked for.  As a duo, Mert Alas and Marcus Pigott, are the most acclaimed and respected photographers of the past decade. Vogue Paris has made a little recap of the covers they shot for them….

Cara Delevingne and Eddie Redmayne for Burberry

Again, two British icons feature in the Burberry S/S ’12 campaign. This time it’s the turn of socialite and model/actress Cara Delevingne and actor Eddie Redmayne (both Burberry regulars, Eddie’s first campaign was in 2008, Cara’s first in 2011, and she also walks the runway shows. TD) to personify British heritage with a modern touch. The campaign has something fresh and Sherlock-Holmes-like to us (does the release of the Sherlock Holmes-sequal have anything to do with it?)

Maybelline’s 2012 calendar

The new Maybelline 2012 ‘feast-for-the-eye’ calendar is out! Unfortunately very limited and almost impossible to acquire, but thanks to the worldwide web we can have access to the fantastic pictures that each represent a month in the year to come. A colour-explosion ofcourse, because it displays the brand’s make-up trends, but it also contains a fashionable and artistic vibe.

Check out the pictures…..

Saskia de Brauw by Mario Sorrenti for the 2012 Pirelli Calendar

About the 2012 Pirelli calendar

Even if this is not our favourite Pirelli calendar, it’s worth mentioning because we have two Dutch models featuring in it: Lara Stone and Saskia de Brauw. And it was shot on the beautful island of Corsica by Mario Sorrenti.

Chanel

Digitalistic video: Chanel’s Slumdog Millionaire

Karl Lagerfeld showed Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Pre Fall 2011/2012 collection – inspired by India’s people -  last Tuesday in the Grand Palais, Paris. As Karl himself said during an interview with Wall Street Journal: ““Even the poor have dignity, and even poor women own three gold bracelets.” On the runway: lots of jewels, bold colors and precious fabrics surrounded by tables full of fresh food, macaroons and other delicious knickknacks. Wish we could take a bite!

Digitalistic illustrations: Cate Parr

How lovely are these aquarels by artist/illustrator Cate Parr? She finds her inspiration in many places; Ealing Studios, French and Italian Cinema, couture design, along with music, photography, theatre and dance.
She was born and educated in the UK, but now lives in Silverlake, near Los Angeles CA.

Boys, boys, boys

It’s not only women and shoes in the latest issue of Antidote Magazine‘s ‘Shoe Issue’. We also like this editorial realized by Giampaolo Sgura, with the help of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana!

Just a random selection after the jump. For the whole story you’ll have to go fetch your own copy of Antidote magazine…>>>
