Everything with a relation to creation or creativity catches our attention. And we strive to support our local talents in many areas, from fashion, to music, to art.
Kreativ is a platform recently (January ’11) started by Bram Post (aka DJ Mailman), Tim van Citters, Tijs Luitse and Joppe Muller, passionate for music and other creative disciplines. With this platform they aim towards an ever expanding Kreativ network to develop music, film, photography and graphic arts-projects related to events.
…Like they did last Saturday. A local swimming pool in Amsterdam transformed in an ephemeral tropical island overnight. Digi K was there. Pictures will follow in her diary soon. For now, enjoy the video. And see what you’ve missed, or relive the poolparty of your life…
A show and party we regret to have missed is Mulberry‘s. They create these great themes every time, and this one would have suited us quite well. It was all about having summertime fun on the British Coast and a lot of sweetness.
Over a week ago it was gaypride in Amsterdam. Like every year the city turns pink. With festivities all around town and the famous boat parade, we had to take a look. Though the weather didn’t promise much good that day…We would have taken more pictures, but rainshowers starting in the afternoon and going on til late at night (people even offered us money for our umbrella…) unfortunately kept us from doing so. We’ll need to take a raincheck for that. (what’s in a name).
Then we have a party-suggestion for you if you haven’t made any plans for your Saturday night: Royale with Cheese in club AIR.
Three reasons why you should go:
1. You like cheeseburgers (has nothing to do it, but still)
2. It’s in Club AIR, where legendary club IT used to be located, but now totally clubbing 2.0
3. Actually this should be the main reason: because DJ duo Claire & Sheila Hill will be spinnin’ the decks. And they are cool!! (as you can see, we’re creating a fanclub here)
Did you know that O.W.A.P. (Original Warehouse Acid Party) has a best dressed award? You have got one week to gather all your fluorescent shizzle and make it work! We have some inspiration for you to go rave in style. But remember, it’s just INSPIRATION. It’s up to you to look like you have won the paintball-fight with Lady Gaga. And DON’T take example on Digi K., because she got pimped at the entrance last time (and is too lazy to even try and make it to best dressed, so she won’t be your competitor either).
Running around at fashionweek is tiring, but I still managed to get a taste of the nightlife (not as much as the last time we were in London with the girls, but still…). Here you can find some pics of the Mulberry afterparty and dinner with the bloggers and My Wardrobe.com crew at PingPong. I also found a backstagevideo of the Mulberry show and party:
Well here it is, finally. A wrap up of my London adventures. I went there to meet some friends, to see some shows, drop by a party on the way, and spend a day with fellow-bloggers at the My Wardrobe.com HQ.
Tomorrow is a big day for the Dutch Glamour. It’s the magazine’s 5th birthday! And that means party for us! And a sneak peek for you. To celebrate and share the love of fashion with everyone, this issue of the magazine will count over 500 pages, and brings along a very nice surprise…
The above picture is from an editorial that Fashion Director Jetteke made with model Kim Noorda. Don’t you love the Alaia dress? We do!
In summer, there are two things we love: Ray-ban (wayfarer, pilot and the new Rare (!)) and Valtifest (one of the best festivals in Holland during the summer). This year the two come together for a spectacular music battle. Are you great with a trombone? Or is your voice better than Madonna’s? Upload a small movie on www.ray-ban.com/nl and maybe they’ll pick you as one of the eight best music talents. The eight finalists have to battle which each other on Valtifest on the 4th of September. We will be there for sure, so sing for us! PS. Dress up like an cool idiot, because that is what Valtifest is about!
