This season, one theme that featured on the catwalk, was the masculine-feminine mix. Givenchy made women’s suits with tuxedo-inspired jackets, Acne took the sleeves off the long doublebreasted blazer, and Dolce & Gabbana made theirs out of black jacquard, glamourous velvet, or gave them a touch of sequin. What will your re-invention of the suit be?
Ah, ah, ah, ah stayin’ alive…Hear some BeeGees too when you see these shoes? They certainly make us reminisce some Saturday Night Fever-vibe. With these on it sure won’t be hard finding a John Travolta lookalike…
I (Digi K) have sort of been collecting sweatshirts lately. They are comfortable to wear and easy to match. But I also like them when they have a little extra like the one I found from Elizabeth and James with contrast leather sleeves.
Roarrrrrrr with Sam Edelman's pointy pumps in leopard
We really have to apologize, but our obsession with leopard-prints still goes forth…Especially now we have found these pumps with pointy noses (it’s all about ‘pointue’ this season) from Sam Edelman. We can already imagine them at our feet, matching perfectly with our black pencilskirt….
There was this sheet with a selection of O’moda shoes I had to choose from. Which pair would inspire me the most? When my eye fell on the boots above, thoughts of Isabel Marant, western, navajo etc. came up. Time for some shopping, starring these O’moda western ankle boots.
They fit perfectly into the seventies look, but with that little raw edge Maison Martin Margiela is known for. In these boots there’s a see-through angle at the instep, and the typical Margiela staged imperfection also comes through in a splash of mud on the heels.
Femininity and retro colours are key for the Fall ’11/12-season. A leather dress in camel cannot be missed in your wardrobe. And we think that the LIV pencildress from LaDress might just be the perfect match for you.
Last season Dgitalista E. and I bought the same pair of grey tapered trousers at River Island. We are still very fond of them, I even found a similar pair in black on Sale a few days ago. And if we have to believe Italian label Iceberg, the trousers will still be a catch for coming autumn winter season! Aren’t they great?!
