Renewed Hope in a Jar

photo 2When I was in my early teenage years and just beginning to dabble in skincare products, one of the first brands I was introduced to was philosophy. Feeling overwhelmed and intimidated in a busy Sephora store, I was immediately drawn to the brand’s simplistic packaging and catchy product names.

photo 3Since then, I’ve used numerous products over the years (the Vanilla Birthday Cake shower gel is a personal favourite!), and have always loved their … well, philosophy. It’s based on a notion of helping women to look, feel and live their best, with products that enhance skin and have great scents.

Hope in a Jar is one of the original products launched by philosophy back in 1996, created to hydrate skin while improving the look of wrinkles, roughness and tone. In no time, it was backed by plastic surgeons and dermatologists who were recommending the soufflé-like cream to patients to help achieve a rosy glow.

philosophy has recently re-launched the Renewed Hope in a Jar formula, which has a more lightweight, whipped texture than the original. It’s made with a blend of alpha hydroxy acids and Asian fruit extracts, which help to moisturize and give skin a longer-lasting glow while reducing the appearance of fine lines and pores. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and love the way it gives my skin a dewy, moist appearance like it’s ultra-hydrated.

If you love the Hope in a Jar collection as much as I do, you’ll be happy to know philosophy also Hope in a Jar for eyes, lips and body, plus a dedicated night time formula and facial serum.
